My path as a writer and poet began when I started writing and publishing my poems under the pen name Lana Sunlight, while trying to build a life around the humanities. For a long time I worked towards becoming a good teacher of languages and literature, and regional language and literature competitions seemed to be the limit of what I could reach.
When I had the chance to write and defend a research paper, “The Crisis of the Family as an Institution and Ways to Overcome It”, at the Junior Academy of Sciences, I seized it at once: love and relationships had drawn me for a long time. Only now I could look at these questions not through love poetry but through scientific psychology.
Some time later I left teaching and turned to personal development and a detailed study of psychology as a science. Around the same time my writing career began, and it gave me the chance not only to learn but to share what I learned straight away.
I have been through psychological crises myself, I know how hard it is to overcome your own insecurities, and I have a dozen courses behind me — and I feel I am finally in the right place. No, I am not a professional psychologist. I am someone who wants to share her experience and views with those who need them. Someone ready to grow together with the reader and to draw attention to real problems of mental health and self-development. Sometimes seriously, sometimes with irony, but always kindly.
I invite wikiGrowth readers to deepen their understanding of psychology together with me — not as yet another dull theory, but as a real and important part of life that all of us are bound up with.
